City Guide - Explore The City With Fitz and Will

Launched summer 2022

New Cambridge City Guide, bringing family fun and increased visitors to the city targeted to raise £10,000 for East Anglia’s Childrens’ Hospices.

A new family walking tour of Cambridge has been released this week, much to the delight of the thousands of Fitz and Will fans across the region.

At a time when parents are wracking their brains for ideas for the long summer holiday, and tourists are flooding to the city, what better way to entertain a family than to spend a couple of hours exploring the centre of our beautiful city. The Guide has been designed with little feet in mind and has been purposefully kept short, making it accessible to many. This ‘purrfect’ tour enables little explorers to visit all the favourite haunts of these renowned feline friends, in particular the locations where they have been up to no end of mischief!

This beautifully illustrated Guide can be purchased at a growing number of locations throughout the city for £2.50. It includes a fun map covering 12 locations and each location has a Fun Fitz Fact and a question that need to be filled in by the explorer, together with activities. So pop on your walking shoes, bring a pen or pencil and start getting to know your city better with Fitz and Will as your very own guides.

The extraordinary generosity of the community pulling together to cover the cost of the guide, means that 100% of proceeds go to EACH. Cambridge University Press rolled up its sleeves to do the design and layout free of charge, hotels, schools, and small businesses in the city readily sponsored the guide and Laura Robson Brown and Katherine Mann, creators of the leading picture book series Fitz and Will, The Cambridge Cats, put their heart and soul into pulling it all together.

Little Cam Books would love to hear from retailers who would like to stock the guide or purchase bulk copies for their clients or schools and play their part in helping reach the £10,000 fundraising target. They are also looking for a generous soul who would be happy to offer their time and expertise to develop the guide into an interactive app.
